If you’ve grown tired of the latest Disney this and the newest Universal that, take a break from Orlando’s ubiquitous theme parks and visit Bok Tower Gardens. A Florida icon, the Gardens have been welcoming visitors to their lush sanctuary since 1929. Located in nearby Lake Wales, the historic landmark is open every day of the year and features idyllic scenery and architecture, including the famous Singing Tower.
Designed by architect Milton B. Medary and crafted by Lee Lawrie, the ornate 205-foot Tower houses one of the world’s finest carillons. Concerts from the 60-bell carillon at 1 and 3 p.m. fill the Gardens daily. Exploring Bok Tower Gardens is a soothing diversion from the ordinary and offers ideal backdrops for family picnics, dining in the café, or any kind of event. You’ll also enjoy bird watching and plentiful photo opportunities while you’re hiking along scenic trails.
Looking for something different to do on your next visit to the Villas at Regal Palms? Then head over to Bok Tower Gardens and experience another side of Orlando.
